
Continuing the cycle of care

The patient has the right to:
1. Refuse delivery of any and all equipment.
2. Prompt delivery and to be fully informed on the use, and care of all Medical Comfort Systems equipment in their home.
3. Expect that all information will be kept in strictest confidence.
4. Expect all equipment to be clean and in good repair.
5. Have any questions answered promptly, correctly and courteously.
6. To be informed of all options if the need to transfer care arises.
7. To expect a resolution to any problem or complaint.
8. Know that if he/she is found unresponsive, Medical Comfort Systems policy is for staff to call 911 for emergency medical
intervention.
9. Express dissatisfaction and suggest changes without coercion, discrimination, reprisal, or unreasonable interruption of service.
The patient has the responsibility to:
1. Inform Medical Comfort Systems of any change in their prescription.
2. Follow instruction in care and use of all equipment.
3. Keep Medical Comfort Systems informed of any change in address, doctor, insurance carrier, prescription, etc.
4. To order supplies or refills on a timely basis to accomodate reasonable delivery.
5. To have someone at home on the day delivery is scheduled.
6. To pay all invoices that are due; not covered by their insurance.
7. To understand that all equipment is rented strictly by the month.
Any questions or concerns regarding your service or equipment should be directed to the Patient Services Coordinator where equipment or supplies were obtained. It is the Patient Services Coordinator's responsibility to review all formal complaints and to send a written response to your formal complaint.
